CONCEPT

Amidst a market abundant with coffee machines optimized for larger office spaces, the niche for smaller-capacity units, finely tuned to the distinct demands of small offices, remains largely unexplored. 

This project steps in to bridge this gap, presenting a compact solution that upholds the caliber and ease associated with larger models while catering precisely to the scale and needs of small office environments. With this Compact Filter Coffee Machine, small offices are empowered to savor the indulgence of freshly brewed coffee, without any concessions.

Just as a cat epitomizes compactness and grace, this machine seamlessly fits into small office environments, combining aesthetic appeal with practical functionality. 

INSPIRATION

The design of the Compact Filter Coffee Machine draws inspiration from one of nature’s most elegant and efficient creatures: The CAT.

Cats embody a perfect blend of grace, compactness, and functionality, traits seamlessly integrated into this coffee machine.

SKETCHING

Initial sketches of the Compact Filter Coffee Machine were inspired by the sleek, streamlined form of a cat, emphasizing ELEGANCE.

MECHANICAL DESIGN

The mechanical design of the Compact Filter Coffee Machine was meticulously executed, encompassing individual part modeling and precise assembly within specified constraints. Utilizing SolidWorks, each component was crafted with attention to detail, including sheet metal and plastic trims, as well as the overall frame design. Emphasis was placed on Design for Manufacturability (DFM), ensuring that each part could be efficiently and cost-effectively produced.

COLOUR SELECTION

Drawing from the sleek, sophisticated hues found in feline coats, colors such as Matte black and soft grey were chosen. These shades not only reflect the machine’s refined design but also blend seamlessly into any office decor, much like a cat’s graceful presence in any environment.
